
Dan Abshere, LMHC

Dan served in the Air Force for over 20 years as a pilot and other positions around the world where he gained experience in combat and stressful situations. After serving his country, he worked as a teacher and school counselor for a diverse range of students. Dan has had remarkable success helping people manage emotions, communicate with loved ones, and reduce anxiety, depression, and grief. He has specialized training in EMDR, trauma treatment, anxiety treatment, and mutli-cultural instruction. Dan Abshere's experience makes him especially well suited with helping veterans, first responders, students, and parents.

EDUCATION
A.S. in Avionics, B.A. in Geography, M.S. in Aeronautical Science, M.Ed in School Counseling as well as several programs in ethics, problem solving, and leadership.
CERTIFICATIONS
Nationally Certified Counselor, Washington State Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Washington State Certified School Counselor and Teacher, Certified Telemental Health Provider, Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional, Suicide Prevention and Intervention certification, Social-Emotional First Aid certification, and Certified Multi-cultural instructor.

Samantha Love, RAAC
Counselor

Sam is a U.S. Army veteran, educator, and clinical psychology doctoral student who has dedicated her career to supporting individuals and families through times of growth, challenge, and transition. She has over a decade of experience as a special education teacher, autism specialist, and educational advocate. Samantha helps children, teens, and adults build skills in emotional regulation, self-advocacy, and communication across school, home, and community settings. Sam is also a mother and national-level Olympic weightlifter and Masters World Champion. Sam specializes in helping clients facing anxiety, depression, trauma, chronic illness, and identity-related challenges, integrating evidence-based tools with a person-centered and humanistic approach.

EDUCATION
B.S. in Psychology, M.Ed. in Education, currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in Advanced Psychological Assessment.

Justin Brown, RAAC
Counselor

Justin was raised in a military family, and is from a long line of military and law enforcement members. He was brought up with the values of resilience, structure, and service. These principles shape the way he connects with individuals facing stress, trauma, and high-pressure situations. Justin played lacrosse for fifteen years and coached youth and high school teams for three years...deepening his commitment to supporting kids, teens, and families in meaningful ways. Justin understands the unique pressures young people face today; and strives to create a safe, judgment-free space where they can grow emotionally and gain confidence. His approach is client-centered and collaborative, and plans to become a school counselor to continue supporting the next generation.

EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Human Services from William Penn University. Graduated from Stanwood High School.
